HOW WE APPROACH IT

Waterproofed first, finished second.

The part of a bathroom that matters most is the part you'll never look at. Every Precise Buildz shower starts with a custom-poured mortar bed sloped to the drain and a dual-layer Schluter-Kerdi membrane — and we put that shower pan in writing with a warranty. Only then does the visible work begin: hand-laid Calacatta marble, vertical-stack and checkerboard tile, frameless glass enclosures, and linear drains that disappear into the floor.

Layouts range from a freestanding tub set under an arched window to full wet rooms where the tub and walk-in shower share one glass-divided space. Vanities are built in our shop as furniture — shaker doors, quartz or stone tops, vessel or undermount sinks — and finished in navy, white, or stain to suit the room. Thermostatic valves, dual rain heads, and brass or matte-black fixtures are run by our own plumbing crew. Recent baths span wet-room suites in Cypress, marble showers in Pearland, and soaking-tub retreats in The Woodlands, each supervised on site by Steven every day.

The vanities and built-in bath storage on this page come from the same shop as our custom millwork and cabinetry, so a master bath and its walk-in closet can be designed as one project.

THE PROCESS

From consultation to finished bath.

STEP 01

Bathroom Consultation

Steven measures the existing bath, checks where the drain and supply lines actually run, and talks through tub-versus-shower, wet room, and vanity options against what the plumbing will realistically allow.

STEP 02

Tile, Glass & Fixture Design

We lay out the tile patterns to scale, choose slab or tile for the wet walls, spec the glass enclosure, and select valves and fixtures — then the vanity is drawn to the wall so nothing is an afterthought.

STEP 03

Waterproof, Tile & Finish

Demolition and rough plumbing first, then the mortar-bed pan and Kerdi membrane, then tile. Glass is templated after tile, the shop-built vanity is installed, and fixtures and lighting go in last.

QUESTIONS

Bathroom Remodeling FAQ

Do you warranty your shower pans?

Yes, in writing. Every walk-in shower we build gets a custom-poured, sloped mortar pan and a dual-layer Schluter-Kerdi membrane, and the pan is covered by a written warranty.

Can you convert a tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes — it's one of the most common bathroom requests we get. We rework the drain and valve locations, build a new sloped pan, and enclose it in frameless glass.

What is a wet room, and is my bathroom big enough for one?

A wet room puts the freestanding tub and the walk-in shower inside one waterproofed, glass-divided zone. It needs less footprint than people expect; Steven can tell you in the first walkthrough whether your layout supports it.

Do you build the bathroom vanity or buy it?

We build it in our shop like a piece of furniture — shaker doors, drawers, and a quartz or stone top — sized to your wall rather than to a catalog.

What tile do you use most in bathrooms?

Recent baths feature hand-laid Calacatta marble, checkerboard marble floors, and vertical-stack tile in green and teal. We lay out the pattern to scale before the first cut.
